Refurbishments are usually operating on the existing substance of a building. For an aged four-rooms apartment in the old town of Biel/Bienne, we proposed to operating in the opposite way: the built substance remain untouched, while the spaces are refreshed by introducing 7 furniture pieces; 7 objects populate the apartment and give a common character to the living areas. The different pieces are thought as a family, using the same constructive and structural principles.
